I get many requests for used trucks under $10000 but not necessarily the service trucks I list on my main topic. I thought I might try to give a little coverage to the other vehicles looking for a new home for reasonable money. The economy has really done a number on the auto industry and the truck manufacturing industry in particular.
Down Economies Demand Reductions… Any Way You Look at It
My gut instinct tells me that the 2009 model year vehicles are going to be the best quality used trucks for sale for a good many years to come. The reason I suspect this is because cost cutting has had to be so pervasive in the industry, and for trucks in particular that many of the features we’ve been accustomed to in the past won’t be standard anymore. Does this mean I see a return to standard transmissions? No. What it does mean is that if you want anything outside the normal setups (power ANTHING, tow package, lighting changes, custom work packages, etc.) you’re going to pay through the nose for it.
Variety of Choice Is the Luxury Lived in Better Times… Like Pre-Recession
The days of walking up to a lot and getting robust packages on a wide choice of vehicles as part of a standard package and for no charge are going to be over for some time. Those nice beefy packages are on those 2009 vehicles and older, but business practices dictate sharp cost cutting due to the recession… and that started right at the begining of the 2010 manufacturing cycle.
Buy Used Truck for Sale Under $10000 at Auction
That’s my take. You may feel differently about that. At any rate, take a gander at these available used trucks for sale under $10000 and see if something doesn’t catch your eye.
